New page

A March is a group of troops sent from your city on a mission across the world map. Marches are used for attacking, gathering, reinforcing allies, occupying territory, and other activities.

Overview
Marches are the fundamental unit of action in Whiteout Survival's world map layer. When you send troops anywhere — whether to attack an enemy, gather resources, or reinforce an ally — they travel as a march. The number of simultaneous marches you can have active is limited and expandable.

March Types
Attack March
Sent to attack another player's city, a monster camp, or an event target. Attack marches engage the target's defenders in combat.

Gathering March
Sent to resource tiles (Meat, Wood, Coal, Iron) on the world map to collect resources and return them to your city. See Food Gathering, Wood Gathering, Coal Mining, and Iron Mining for details.

Reinforcement March
Sent to an alliance member's city to bolster their garrison. Reinforcement troops fight alongside the recipient's troops if their city is attacked. See Embassy for details.

Scouting March
A reconnaissance mission sent to gather intelligence about another player's city before an attack. See Scouting for details.

Rally March
A coordinated multi-player attack where an alliance leader initiates a rally and multiple members contribute troops that attack simultaneously. Very powerful for defeating strong targets.

March Capacity
Each march has a capacity — the maximum number of troops it can carry. March capacity is determined by:
* Command Center level (primary factor)
* Growth Research March Capacity technologies
* Heroes with March Capacity bonuses
* VIP level bonuses

A larger march capacity means more troops per attack or more resources per gathering trip.

March Count
The number of simultaneous marches you can send is limited:
* Base: 2 marches
* Increases with Command Center upgrades
* Further increases from research and VIP levels

Maximizing your march count is critical for efficient gathering (more simultaneous gathering marches) and combat (multiple attack marches during events).

March Speed
How fast marches travel across the world map is influenced by:
* The distance to the target
* Research technologies boosting March Speed
* Heroes with March Speed bonuses
* VIP level bonuses

Faster marches reduce the time between sending troops and engaging the target.

Tips
* Keep marches active: Idle march capacity is wasted potential — always have gathering marches running when not in combat.
* Upgrade the Command Center: More marches means more gathering income and more combat flexibility.
* Use the right march for the task: Don't send attack-configured marches on gathering trips — set up the composition correctly.
* Coordinate rally attacks: For powerful targets in events, use rally attacks with multiple alliance members contributing troops.
* Watch march timers: Marches tie up troops for their duration — plan around your troops being unavailable during the march.
