Meat Output
More actions
Meat Output refers to the passive hourly production rate of Meat (Food) generated by your city's Hunting Ground production buildings.
Overview
Meat Output is determined by the number and level of Hunting Ground buildings in your city, plus any bonuses from Research, Heroes, and Chief Gears. Higher Meat Output reduces the need for frequent Food Gathering trips and helps sustain large troop populations.
Factors Affecting Meat Output
Production Buildings
The Hunting Ground (or equivalent Meat-producing building) is the primary source of passive Meat Output. Each building has a base hourly production rate that scales with building level.
Research Bonuses
The Economy Research tree contains several technologies that increase Meat Output:
- Meat Production — Percentage increase to base Meat production rate
- Food Output — General food production multiplier
Hero Bonuses
Some heroes provide bonuses to Meat production when assigned to the appropriate building slot. Check each hero's skill description for food/meat production bonuses.
Chief Gear
Construction and Development Chief Gear sets may include Meat Output percentage bonuses as secondary stats.
Building Levels and Output
Each level of the Hunting Ground building increases your hourly Meat Output:
| Building Level | Approx. Hourly Output | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | ~500/hr | Starting output |
| 5 | ~2,500/hr | Early game production |
| 10 | ~8,000/hr | Mid game production |
| 15 | ~20,000/hr | Late game production |
| 20 | ~50,000/hr | High-level production |
| 25 | ~100,000+/hr | Endgame production |
Note: Exact values vary and increase significantly with research and hero bonuses.
Maximizing Meat Output
To maximize passive Meat Output:
- Upgrade all Hunting Ground buildings to the highest possible level
- Complete Meat Production research in the Economy tree
- Assign heroes with food production bonuses
- Use Chief Gear with food/meat output bonuses
Tips
- Multiple buildings multiply output: Building 2–3 Hunting Grounds and upgrading them is far more efficient than upgrading just one.
- Research pays off long-term: Even a 20% production increase compounds into massive amounts over days and weeks.
- Collect from buildings: Production buildings have a storage cap — collect regularly to avoid wasted production.
- Balance output vs. consumption: At high troop counts, you may need to supplement production with regular gathering even with maxed buildings.
