The Storehouse is a defensive building in Whiteout Survival that protects a portion of your resources from being plundered by enemy players during attacks.
Overview
In Whiteout Survival, enemy players can attack your city and steal your Resources (Meat, Wood, Coal, Iron). The Storehouse protects a fixed amount of each resource type — resources within the protection limit cannot be stolen, no matter how many times you are attacked.
Key Function: Resource Protection
The Storehouse's primary and only function is to shield resources:
- It protects a set amount of each of the four resource types
- Protected resources are completely safe from enemy raids
- Resources above the protection limit are at full risk of being plundered
- The protection limit increases with each Storehouse upgrade
Resource Protection Formula
The amount protected depends on:
- Storehouse Level — The primary factor; each level increases the protection cap
- Resource Type — Each resource type has its own protection limit (they may differ)
Why Upgrade the Storehouse?
The Storehouse is particularly important for:
- Active PvP states — Where enemy players frequently raid
- Resource accumulation periods — When saving up for major upgrades
- Offline safety — Protecting resources while you're not playing
- Alliance conflicts — During wars where enemies target your city
In peaceful or beginner states, the Storehouse may be less critical, but it becomes very important in competitive environments.
Tips
- Upgrade the Storehouse regularly to protect more resources as your production grows
- Before going offline in a war situation, try to keep resources below or near the protection limit
- Spend resources actively (on builds and research) to minimize the amount above protection
- In aggressive states, consider upgrading Storehouse more aggressively than usual
- If you must store large amounts above protection, consider using a Peace Shield to prevent raids
Relationship with Other Buildings
- The Storehouse protection limit must keep pace with your resource production (from farms, mines, etc.)
- Higher Research and production buildings generate more resources — ensure Storehouse covers your typical stockpile
- The Infirmary protects troops the way the Storehouse protects resources — both are key defensive buildings
