Overview

Food Output measures how much Meat your city generates per hour without active gathering. Since troops constantly consume Meat as upkeep, maintaining strong Food Output is essential to sustain large armies and avoid resource shortages.

Food Output vs. Meat Output

In Whiteout Survival, the resource variously called "Food" or "Meat" refers to the same resource. "Food Output" and "Meat Output" describe the same stat — the passive hourly production of this resource.

For full details, see: Meat Output

Summary of Key Factors

Food Output is increased by:

  • Upgrading Hunting Ground buildings
  • Completing Food/Meat Production research in the Economy Research tree
  • Assigning heroes with food production bonuses
  • Using Chief Gear with food output stats

Tips

  • Maintain enough Food Output to cover troop upkeep without running a deficit.
  • Large troop counts dramatically increase upkeep consumption — scale production accordingly.
  • Supplement Food Output with regular Food Gathering from world map tiles.
