Alliance Technology

Alliance Technology is the collective research system within an Alliance that provides passive bonuses to all alliance members. Contributing to Alliance Technology is one of the most important activities for both personal and alliance-wide development.

Overview

Unlike individual city Research, Alliance Technology is researched collectively by all members of the alliance contributing resources. Once unlocked, the bonuses from Alliance Technology apply to every member of the alliance automatically — even members who didn't contribute.

How Alliance Technology Works

Alliance members donate resources (primarily Wood, Coal, and Iron) to the Alliance Technology fund.
When enough resources have been donated, a technology can be researched by an officer or the alliance leader.
Research completes after a timer (which can be helped along by alliance members).
All members receive the bonus immediately upon completion.

Contributing Resources

Members can donate resources directly to Alliance Technology from their city stockpile. Common donation resources include:

Wood
Coal
Iron (for higher-tier technologies)

Higher-rank members (R4/R5) typically have authority to initiate research, but all members can contribute resources.

Alliance Technology bonuses stack with all personal city bonuses. This means an active alliance with high-level technology provides members with dramatically better combat performance, faster development, and higher resource income compared to weaker alliances.

Choosing a technologically advanced alliance is one of the most impactful decisions a new player can make.

Donate regularly: Even small contributions add up across all members — consistent donations accelerate technology progress.
Prioritize combat technologies: During event seasons, combat tech bonuses directly determine win/loss outcomes in State vs State and similar events.
Contribute before events: Make sure your alliance has researched key combat technologies before State vs State begins.
Check what's being researched: Don't donate random resources — check which technologies are active and donate the right materials.
Alliance choice matters: The technology level of your alliance is a major factor in your long-term progression — consider upgrading to a stronger alliance as you grow.
