Fire Crystals are a rare and powerful currency in Whiteout Survival, described in lore as "a mysterious crystal that is alive and contains unimaginably strong power." They are the primary resource for late-game progression beyond Furnace level 30.
Overview
Fire Crystals serve as the foundation of the late-game Fire Crystal (FC) progression system, which includes:
- Upgrading the Furnace beyond level 30
- Constructing and upgrading Fire Crystal variants of core Buildings
- Researching advanced technologies in the War Academy
- Obtaining Fire Crystal Shards for War Academy research costs
Types

Obtaining Fire Crystals
Fire Crystals can be obtained through:
- Daily Missions — Completing daily tasks
- Intel — Lighthouse intelligence missions (improved by Agnes Expert)
- SVS Shop — Purchasing in the State of Power (SVS) event store
- Flame and Fangs Event — A dedicated Fire Crystal event
- Mercenary Prestige — Prestige system rewards
- SVS Battle Phase — Participating in State of Power battles
- King of Icefield (KOI) — Event rewards
- Alliance Mobilization — Alliance event rewards
Converting Fire Crystals to Shards
Fire Crystals can be converted to Fire Crystal Shards for War Academy research:
- Rate: 10 Fire Crystals = 13 Shards (max 200 Fire Crystals convertible per day)
- Steel can also be converted: 5,000 Steel = 1 Shard (max 20 Shards per day from Steel)
Crystal Laboratory
The Crystal Laboratory building allows daily exchange of basic resources (Meat, Wood, Coal, Iron) for Fire Crystals. The number of daily exchanges (5–8) depends on the state's FC level.
