The War Academy is an advanced research facility in Whiteout Survival that enables players to unlock high-tier military technologies using Fire Crystal Shards.
Overview
The War Academy is described as "where you look for new technologies to help strengthen and energize a number of facets of your city." Unlike the standard Research Center, it focuses exclusively on military research and uses Fire Crystal Shards rather than basic resources.
The War Academy allows research of ardent technologies up to T11 tier units across all three troop classes: Infantry, Marksmen, and Lancers.
Fire Crystal Shard Acquisition
Fire Crystal Shards can be obtained through:
- Purchasing bundle packs
- Converting steel: 5,000 Steel = 1 Shard (max 20 shards/day)
- Trading Fire Crystals: 10 Crystals = 13 Shards (max 200 crystals/day)
Building Levels
The War Academy progresses from FC 1 through FC 10. Higher levels:
- Reduce research times
- Unlock more advanced technologies
- Unlock additional Crystal Laboratory exchanges (6 exchanges unlock with the War Academy)
Construction time ranges from seconds for initial levels to 4 days for the highest tiers.

The War Academy contains research for:
- Infantry — Advanced combat and defensive technologies
- Marksmen — Advanced ranged attack technologies
- Lancers — Advanced cavalry technologies
