Daybreak Island

Daybreak Island is a separate island zone in Whiteout Survival, unlocked when the Furnace reaches Level 19. Players clear trees there to generate Life Essence, upgrade the Tree of Life for troop buffs and healing-speed bonuses, and build and customise decorations that grant additional bonuses.

Overview

Upgrading the Furnace to Level 19 unlocks the Dock in the city, which grants access to Daybreak Island. The island is developed separately from the main city and focuses on long-term, permanent bonuses rather than combat.

It is not a late-game feature: Furnace 19 is reached in the first weeks, the same level that opens The Labyrinth, and the new player guide treats raising the Tree of Life to level 10 as one of the first things to do.

Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is the central structure of Daybreak Island. Clearing trees on the island generates Life Essence, which is spent to upgrade the Tree of Life. Higher Tree of Life levels grant troop buffs and increased healing speed.

Decorations

Players place decorations on the island map, which provide buffs when built and upgraded. Each decoration has a Type Limit: once the limit for a decoration type is reached, placing additional decorations of the same type grants no further bonus.

Accessories and Prosperity

Beside the decorations stand the island's accessories — the Starry Lighthouse, the Harbor of Hope and their like. An accessory is unlocked by its own blueprint, and every further copy of that blueprint upgrades it. Blueprints themselves are redeemed with a General Accessory Construction Contract.

A decoration also carries a Prosperity Bonus, which counts towards the island's Prosperity only while the decoration actually stands on Daybreak Island — and it obeys the same Type Limit as the rest. Mythic decorations are raised with Mythic General Decoration Components.

Mark of Revival

Once the Tree of Life level and State Progress meet the required conditions, players can purchase Marks of Revival from Daybreak Island Supplies and exchange them for decorations and accessories. The shop's contents unlock in phases as State Progress advances.

The Daybreak update

The island arrived with Daybreak Expedition, a one-time progression event unlocked at Furnace Level 7 whose daily missions pay Daybreak Points. The two are part of the same content update and are often spoken of together, but they are separate: the Expedition ends, the island does not.

The lore ties the island in as well -- the trees of Tair's sacred grove are said to be the same species as the Tree of Life.
