Those chests hold one reward out of six, and the small ones dominate: a 5-minute general speedup 52% of the time and two 10 Enhancement XP Components 20%. The rest are 10% for an hour of speedup, 8% for 100 Enhancement XP Components, 6% for Essence Stones and 4% for a Mythic General Hero Shard.

Affinity System

Affinity runs from level 1 to level 100. Level 1 already grants +1.58%, each further level adds about 0.075% and every tenth level 0.67% instead, so level 100 lands exactly on the figures above. Taking it all the way costs about 513,000 affinity. The curve is the same for every Expert — see Experts.
