Economy Guide
From Whiteout Survival Wiki
More actions
This guide gathers the city-building advice of the wiki in one place: what to upgrade first, how to keep the four resources flowing, which heroes to put on production and what an alliance is worth to your economy. The rules and the numbers are on Resources, Construction and Buildings.
The Furnace comes first
- Every other building waits on the Furnace. It sets the level cap for the whole city, so a Furnace upgrade is the action that unlocks the next tier of everything else.
- Queue the Furnace, then fill the gap. While it builds, spend the second queue and your speedups on whatever its next level will require.
The four resources
- Keep the four in balance. Overproducing one while neglecting another stalls upgrades that need all of them at once — see Resources.
- Put a production hero on each one. Cloris raises Meat, Eugene Wood, Charlie Coal and Smith Iron.
- Pair the hero with the matching research. Each of them stacks with its branch of the Economy Research tree, and the pair is worth far more than either alone.
- Early on, Wood and Iron are the bottleneck. Wood pays for construction and Iron for troop training, which makes Eugene and Smith the first two to level; Charlie earns his place during heavy building phases, and Cloris matters as long as you train troops.
- Gather on the richest tiles you can reach. A higher-level tile returns more for the same march and the same time.
- Send gathering marches constantly. Idle gathering capacity produces nothing; a march that is out and back is worth more than a perfect one you never send.
- Upgrade the Storehouse, and spend what you hold. It shelters part of your stock from raids, and resources already turned into buildings, research or troops cannot be stolen at all.
- Keep resource boosts for the heavy weeks. A boost burned on a quiet day is worth a fraction of the same boost during a building or training push.
What the alliance is worth
- Ask for Alliance Aid every time. It is free and it removes hours from builds and research — see Alliance.
- Contribute to Alliance Technology. The tree pays everyone, including you, and contributions come back as Alliance Tokens.
- Show up to alliance events. Regular contributions keep your standing and pay in tokens you spend in the alliance shop.
- Settle next to your alliance. Neighbours help faster, reinforce sooner and gather the same tiles with you.
The city's opinion
- Keep the Public Opinion Rating high. The daily rewards the city pays out follow it, so the Suggestion Box is a small daily task with a standing return.
Spending
- Free players have an order too. New Players - First Few Days sets it out day by day, and Spending Guide takes over once money is involved.
