Stamina

From Whiteout Survival Wiki
Stamina
Game mechanic
CategoryChief

Stamina — Chief Stamina in full — is the Chief's own currency, spent on the world map rather than in the city. It pays for every solo strike and every rally against a beast, a Polar Terror or a mercenary. Unlike Meat, Wood, Coal and Iron, it belongs to the Chief rather than to the city.

Ceiling and regeneration

Stamina comes back on its own at 1 point every 5 minutes, up to a ceiling of 200. A full day of regeneration is therefore 288 points — but only for a Chief who spends it as it arrives, since it stops climbing at the ceiling.

Where it comes from

  • The Storehouse hands out 240 Stamina a day, in two collections of 120. The expert Agnes raises that: her Optimization skill adds 40 points to what the Storehouse gives.
  • The Arctic Wolf pet restores 35 to 60 Stamina at once, depending on its level, on a 23-hour cooldown.
  • Stamina Cans are sold in the VIP Shop — which opens at VIP level 2 — for 100 Gems each, up to five, and are also won from events; a can is kept in the backpack and used at will.
  • Event chestsVision of Dawn and several other events pay part of their rewards in Stamina.

What it costs

Stamina — Cost
Action Cost
Solo attack on a beast 10
Rally on a Polar Terror 25
Scouting a mercenary (Mercenary Prestige) 15
Summoning a monster (Mercenary Prestige) 15
Solo march on a mercenary 10
Rally on a mercenary 25

An Intel mission that sends a march against a beast costs the same as any beast hunt; the other Intel tasks cost none. Bounty challenges, Rookie and Advanced alike, also spend Stamina.

Reducing the cost

Gina is the hero built for it: her Endurance Training skill cuts Stamina cost by 10% / 12% / 15% / 18% / 20% as her stars rise. At five stars a beast falls from 10 to 8 and a Polar Terror from 25 to 20 — a fifth of every hunt, given back.

Stamina as a currency

Several events pay for Stamina spent rather than for what it kills. Crystal Reactivation turns 10 Stamina into 1 Ember, up to five times per event. Beast Whisperer and Return to Tundra ask for 20, 100, 200, 500 then 800 Chief Stamina on one of their days, Symphony of Changes for 1,000, and Tundra Adventure counts 1,000 towards one of its six large milestones.
