Refined Fire Crystal (RFC) is a high-tier progression resource in Whiteout Survival, derived from Fire Crystal. It is the primary currency for end-game War Academy (T12) research — the Exalted and Molten troop upgrades — used alongside Fire Crystal and Steel.
Acquisition
Refined Fire Crystal becomes available once the Crystal Laboratory is built, which requires reaching the first Fire Crystal Age and Furnace level 30.
- Crystal Laboratory — Super Refinements — the main source: Fire Crystals are converted into Refined Fire Crystals, up to 100 per week, across 5 tiers of 20 refinements each (the Fire Crystal cost rises tier by tier, starting at 20 Fire Crystals per refinement).
- Crystal Reactivation — event rewards during Fire Crystal reactivation periods.
- Other sources — the Fire Crystal Exchange, the Flame and Fangs event, and periodic packs and deals.
Uses
- War Academy (T12) — Exalted gear bonuses, Molten I/II/III upgrades and each branch's elite boss technology.
- High-level Fire Crystal Age progression — the FC6 to FC10 upgrades take Refined Fire Crystal alongside Fire Crystal. Note that super refinements, its main source, only open at FC6: the first of these upgrades has to be paid from events and packs.
The Furnace's own table gives the exact shape: of its fifty upgrades from level 30 to FC10, twenty-five call for Refined Fire Crystal, from FC5-1 — the first step towards FC6 — to FC10, for a total of 870. At the hundred a week that super refinements allow, that single building is close to nine weeks of refining, and every other Fire Crystal building adds its own.
