Gems are the premium currency in Whiteout Survival, used to recruit heroes, buy store items and speed up progress.

Acquisition

  • Free sources — daily login, achievements, Furnace upgrade milestones, Events, alliance and State vs State rewards
  • Beasts — hunting beasts and Polar Terrors on the world map pays gems among its rewards (see Beast Hunt)
  • Purchases — in-game store packs (real currency)

Uses

What gems buy

The prices set out elsewhere on the wiki give a sense of scale: a spin of the Lucky Wheel costs 1,500 gems, or 13,500 for ten at once; a Fire Crystal Ember in Crystal Reactivation costs 500, up to fifteen times an event; a Mark of Valor in the Hall of Heroes costs 150, and a hero shard bought there 1,800 against 2,500 in the VIP shop; and refreshing a truck on the Tundra Trade Route costs 100 gems the first time, then 200, 300, 400 and 500.
