Hall of Heroes (HoH) is a recurring event where players can spend in-game currency to purchase Mythic Hero Shards and other items.
When it runs
The Hall of Heroes opens every week, from Sunday to Tuesday. Its stock does not reset from one day to the next during that window; only the 100 free gems and the packs, each buyable once a day, come back daily.
Marks of Valor
Marks of Valor are the currency of the event. They are bought with gems or come in packs, and they are spent in the shop of a generation. One is given free each event; the other ninety-nine cost 150 gems apiece, so reaching a hundred Marks without spending real money costs 14,850 gems.
A Mark belongs to the generation it was bought in. Marks of the current generation can be both bought and spent; Marks of earlier generations can still be spent in their own shop but can no longer be bought. They never expire and stay in the bag indefinitely — but only ever open the shop they belong to.
What the shop holds
The shop stocks items tied to the player's generation: the Hero of the Generation, which apart from Gen 1 can be obtained nowhere else; widgets and hero fragments from the current and earlier generations; and Mythic General Hero Shards.
Widget chests follow a fixed ladder. The generation immediately before the current one costs 18 Marks of Valor per chest, each generation further back costs two Marks less, and the price stops falling at 10. At Gen 7, for instance, a Gen 6 chest costs 18, a Gen 5 chest 16, a Gen 4 chest 14, a Gen 3 chest 12, and Gen 2 and Gen 1 chests 10 each.
Generations by state age
The generation a state has reached follows its age: Gen 1 from day 0, Gen 2 from day 40, Gen 3 from day 120, Gen 4 from day 200, Gen 5 from day 280, Gen 6 from day 360, Gen 7 from day 440, Gen 8 from day 520, Gen 9 from day 600, Gen 10 from day 700, Gen 11 from day 800 and Gen 12 from day 870.

Cost Comparison: HoH Shards vs Mystery Packs
Hall of Heroes shards are decently cheap compared to Mystery Packs, but they remain primarily a big-spender option. For lower spenders and free-to-play tips, refer to the Heroes guide.
The comparison is worth a figure: a shard bought here costs 1,800 gems, against 2,500 in the VIP shop.
Key Tips
Using HoH for Widgets
Buying every Mark of Valor beyond the free one costs 14,850 gems (99 × 150). Spending that much across the generations lets you accumulate 100 Vouchers, which can then be used to obtain Widgets from previous generations.
This is particularly valuable for long-term heroes:
- Mia -- used for Bear Trap until Gen 12 and beyond
- Jeronimo -- or Natalia if you have her at 4+ stars and do not have Jeronimo
Recommendation: Limit this strategy to heroes you will use for a very long time -- primarily Jeronimo (or Natalia if Jeronimo is unavailable) and Mia.
