SVS Preparation
More actions
The SVS Preparation Phase is the 5-day period before State vs State begins. It is one of the most important phases for accumulating points. If your state wins the preparation phase, you attack the opponent's castle while your castle remains safe.
Why Preparation Phase Matters
Winning the preparation phase gives your state a major strategic advantage in State vs State. This is why it is essential to accumulate items between SVS events and spend as little as possible during regular 2-day events -- save everything for prep phase.
See Two-Day Events to understand how to minimise spending between SVS events.
May 2026 Prep Phase Changes
Major changes were introduced in May 2026 to limit unfair point accumulation. Different days now allow different activities. A video overview is available: May 2026 prep changes (YouTube).
Planning the 5 Days
Colour code used in community planning charts:
- Purple -- recommended day to use State Buffs (see Titles and Buffs)
- Green -- great day to use specific items
- Red -- low points, do NOT use these days
Key Scheduling Decisions
- Research buff: Can be used on Friday (Day 1). Once you have T11 troops (unlocked via research), many states prefer doing research on Tuesday to unlock T11 for spenders, then promoting T10 to T11 on Thursday (training day).
- Item focus by day: Some alliances assign focus items per day -- e.g., Charms on Wednesday, Pets on Friday.
- Expert speed-ups (with Valeria): Once Valeria is available (early Gen 4), Expert speed-ups are taken on Day 3 alongside other items.

Extra Tips by Day
- Gathering (Day 2 / Tuesday): Place your alliance gathering node after 12:01 UTC on Monday so members can gather Monday night AND Tuesday.
- Ox Skill (Burden Bearer): The cooldown starts when activated. Use it before 12:01 UTC on Monday and it will be available again on Tuesday before reset.
- Beasts (Day 3 / Wednesday): Accumulate stamina from Tuesday to maximise beast kills. At 1600 Intel Missions, skip non-beast ones and save them for Thursday.
- Farm accounts: Use your farm accounts in your main alliance for Beasts, item use, and training.
How Many Points to Expect
The following data is from Gen 5 (earlier generations score less as events are less rewarding).
Data from a real player (farm account, Gen 5):
- Bags emptied last SVS, no real money spent
- NOT participating in Foundry, Canyon, or Frostfire Mine
- Did most bears and some local Sunfire
- Used the minimum to unlock rewards on all events between SVS
- Did NOT join rallies for first occupation rewards on Fridays
- Collected 25 days of training speed-ups between SVS
Results -- approximately 20 million points total:
| Day | Points |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | 5,210,000 |
| Day 2 | 7,915,284 |
| Day 3 | 1,324,700 |
| Day 4 | 4,434,120 |
| Day 5 | 1,353,600 |
Most active players can achieve 15 to 20 million points by saving items and playing actively.
Maximising Points with Farm Accounts
SVS prep can be very competitive. These are legitimate strategies:
- Accumulate stamina (2x120 per day + pet bonus) -- use it to join bear rallies on Wednesday
- Accumulate Fire Crystals (Intel Missions + events) -- upgrade and reset pieces during prep for points
- Accumulate Essence Stones (Bear Trap) -- upgrade and reset for points
- Train T5 troops (or T8-T9) and promote during training day using speed-ups
- Gather on Day 2 with the gathering boost on all extra accounts
Most Efficient Troop Training for Points
Promoting T9 to T10 gives approximately 0.71 points per second of training speed-ups on training day. T8 to T10 gives about 0.64 points per second (roughly 10% less).
Rule: The closer your pre-trained troops are to the maximum unlocked tier, the more points you earn per speed-up second. If you have T11, training T10 and promoting to T11 gives the most points. If you only have T9, training T8 gives the most points.

Instead of one hero-specific shard per Gen, you can now choose a chest that gives either a Lucky Hero Gear Chest or one hero-specific shard.
