Chief's House
More actions
The Chief's House is a special building in Whiteout Survival that grants the Chief access to powerful Edicts — temporary orders that boost city productivity, heal Survivors, or accelerate operations.
Overview
The Chief's House is the seat of leadership in your settlement. From here, the Chief can issue Edicts that direct the population with varying effects on productivity, morale, and wellness. Each Edict costs Contentment points, which are generated by Survivors working or can be purchased with Diamonds.
Edicts
| Edict | Effect | Cost | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Urgent Mobilization | Forces Survivors to work for 48 hours (mood penalty: -10) | 50,000 Contentment | 8 hours |
| Rush Job | Generates 5 days of resources from all workstations | 150,000 Contentment | 24 hours |
| Comprehensive Care | Immediately heals all sick Survivors | 150,000 Contentment | 4 hours |
| Double Time | Accelerates all constructions and upgrades by 20% for 5 minutes | 800,000 Contentment | 23 hours |
| Productivity Day | Doubles resource production for 24 hours (mood penalty applies) | 50,000 Contentment | 12 hours |
| Festivities | Restores Survivor morale (+50) and comfort (+30) | 50,000 Contentment | 24 hours |
Contentment
Contentment is the resource spent on Edicts:
- Generated passively by Survivors working in various city buildings
- Can be purchased with Diamonds
- Accumulates over time — save it for high-value Edicts
Strategy
A powerful combination: 1. Issue Urgent Mobilization to maximize worker output 2. Follow with Productivity Day to double all resource production 3. After the productive burst, restore morale with Festivities
Tips
- Use Comprehensive Care during periods of high illness — it has the shortest cooldown of the expensive Edicts
- Rush Job is excellent before major construction or research pushes
- Double Time is most valuable when queuing multiple long-duration upgrades simultaneously
