Bertha is a Legendary Lancer (Combat) hero in Whiteout Survival.
Lore
Bertha is a lady of contradictions: a doctor with an appreciation for the importance of killing, or a killer with a strong interest in helping the sick and needy. To the sick, the infirm and the injured she is a brave and confident medical professional who spares no effort; to those she judges plagues upon humanity she becomes the eraser of evil, wielding a weapon modelled after an enormous syringe — the best medicine, as she puts it, being sometimes the one that kills the patient.
She grew up in a wealthy city-state known as the hub of the most advanced medicine on the Tundra, trained into one of its finest nurses, and swore the same oath as those around her to do no harm.
A high-ranking general was brought into her ward with severe injuries, and Bertha and several doctors nursed the lady-commander back to health. Shortly after the discharge, bandit raids began striking the neighbouring cities and grew more vicious until her own city saw the same desolation. Only when a bounty was posted for the bandit leader did Bertha realise whose life they had saved: Zenobia, Queen of Violence. "Do no harm" had made her team accomplices to the deaths of thousands, and her soul-searching ended in a new conviction — that evil must be cut out of the Tundra as a disease is cut out of a patient, since death, too, is a cure.
