Bear Hunt
More actions
Bear Hunt (also called Bear Trap) is a cooperative Alliance event in which members join rallies to defeat the powerful Raging Bear summoned from the alliance's Bear Trap. It is one of the best early-game sources of Resources.
How to Participate
- The alliance leader or an officer summons the Raging Bear at the alliance's Bear Trap.
- Alliance members rally troops to attack the bear during the 30-minute window; the bear does not fight back, so all attacking troops survive.
- Each attack deals damage and depletes the bear's HP.
- When the bear is defeated, all participating members receive rewards based on their contribution.
Unlocking and cadence
The alliance may build its Bear Trap once the kindling embers goal has been reached, and only an alliance of level 5 or above can raise the building. R4 and R5 officers activate the hunt every two days; an alliance can summon the bear once every 47.5 hours.
A player who has taken part then enters a personal cooldown counted in server time (UTC): the next participation becomes possible at 00:00 UTC on the second calendar day following the day of participation. A hunt joined on a Monday therefore opens again on Wednesday at 00:00 UTC.
Damage and rewards
Rewards improve with the amount of damage a player's troops deal to the bear. Arrowheads looted from the beasts roaming the map upgrade that damage by 25% per level, up to level 5.
Rally heroes
The stats and skills of all three heroes carried by the rally captain count towards the fight. Four further expedition skills are drawn from the members who join the rally: a joining player contributes the top-right expedition skill of the hero placed in the first slot, and the four skills retained across the rally are those of the highest skill level.
Jessie, Jasser and Jeronimo are the three heroes whose first expedition skill raises troop damage, by 25% each. These bonuses stack, so four of them selected in the same rally amount to a 100% damage bonus. The complete line-up — the captain's percentage stats and the four teammate skills selected — is shown by the yellow flag at the top right of the rally's player list.
Rally line-ups by generation
Community guides publish, for each hero generation, the rally line-up that does the most damage and the troop formation to send with it. The formation is written as three shares — infantry, lancers, marksmen — that always add up to ten: 3/3/4 is thirty, thirty and forty per cent, 1/1/8 is ten, ten and eighty. From the ninth generation onwards, an even more marksman-heavy 1/1/98 split is quoted alongside 1/1/8.

Bear Levels
Bears come in multiple difficulty tiers. Higher difficulty bears yield better rewards but require more coordinated attacks and stronger troops.
