Wild Brawl
More actions
Wild Brawl is a free-for-all PvP event in Whiteout Survival in which 10 Chiefs fight one another on a shared battlefield. Each event lasts two days. Participation requires a Furnace level of 25, and the event is not available before Hero Generation 3.
Format
Each battlefield lasts 10 minutes, including a 30-second Preparation Phase. Chiefs earn points by occupying buildings and gathering strategic supplies, and airdropped items can give a decisive advantage. The Chief with the highest score when the match ends wins.
Matchmaking
Each day offers four matchmaking periods of two hours each; matchmaking is only possible during these windows. A Chief may participate in up to 10 matches per event period, and a match attempt is used once matchmaking succeeds and the Chief enters the battlefield. Two modes are offered: Same-Gen Battle only pairs Chiefs of the same hero generation, while Cross-Gen Battle draws from every state whatever the generation. Chiefs wait in the matching lobby, and the battlefield opens once ten of them are ready.
Entering the battlefield
A Chief cannot enter while troops are scouting or away on an expedition, while barricades are burning, or while reinforcements from other Chiefs sit in the Embassy. Once inside, the Chief fights with their own troops, and the number of marches available is the number of march queues already unlocked.
Several rules of the world map are suspended for the length of a match.
- The Infirmary counts as unlimited. Healing costs no resources and is only done with the Battlefield MedKit; troops are healed automatically on leaving the battlefield.
- Winning an attack against another Chief loots nothing.
- Cities burn far faster than usual. A city whose defence fails and whose fire is not put out quickly is forcibly moved to a random location.
- President and Supreme President bonuses, president skills, Frostdragon Tyrant titles and territory bonuses are all switched off. The 10% and 20% buffs and pets keep working.
- A Chief who leaves during a match cannot come back, and has to wait for that match to end before matchmaking again.
The battlefield
A match lasts 10 minutes: thirty seconds of preparation, then nine minutes and thirty seconds of battle.
Four buildings are contested — the Twilight Citadel at the centre of the map and three Boulder Fortresses around it. Points are awarded for taking a building and then for holding it, control being granted after ten seconds of occupation and Strategic Points accruing every second from then on. The citadel pays the most, which is also why it is the most fought over.
Thirty seconds into the battle phase, three supply trucks arrive every minute and unload crates of strategic supplies in three circular areas; troops sent to collect them earn further points. From one minute thirty onwards, item crates are airdropped at the centre of the map every two minutes and are picked up by a dedicated march — only one item can be carried at a time, and what it holds is random.
A score therefore comes from three sources: buildings held, supplies gathered and airdropped items used. The Battle Record tab lists recent matches with the Chief's final ranking, the rankings of the other participants and the point total.
Airdropped items
Four items are found in the airdrops: the Destroyer Rocket, the Frost Bomb, the Battlefield MedKit and the Smoke Bomb.
Missions
Ten missions run over the two days: six for taking part in one, two, three, four, five and six matches with more than zero Strategic Points; three for using 5, 10 and 15 airdropped items; and one for reaching 25,000 Strategic Points over the season.
Rewards
Ten missions can be completed over the two days of the event. The event shop lets players spend Pioneer Badges on rewards.
