How your city grows

Your city is not a free-form base: it is a dependency chain with the Furnace at its root. A building can never exceed the Furnace's level, so the Furnace is the single bottleneck that paces the entire game. Every long upgrade timer you plan, every resource stockpile you build, ultimately serves the next Furnace level — and the handful of buildings that gate it.

Because of that, the order in which you upgrade matters more than how many buildings you own. The four production buildings — Sawmill, Hunter's Hut, Coal Mine and Iron Mine — feed every other upgrade, so they repay early investment faster than anything else. The Command Center and troop camps decide how much army you can field and how far it can march; the Storehouse decides how much of your harvest survives an attack. Welfare buildings such as the Shelter (up to eight of them), Cookhouse and Clinic keep that economy running without interruption.

  • Command Center —

  • Chief's House — Edicts

  • Hero Hall — Platinum/Gold Keys
  • Beast Cage — Pets

The system changes character past level 30. Until then, upgrades cost only the four basic resources and time, and the main constraint is the Furnace. From level 30 onward a state enters the Fire Crystal Age, and the Furnace — then the camps, Embassy, Infirmary and Command Center — gain 炎結晶 levels (FC1 to FC10) that demand Fire Crystals and 精製炎結晶 on top of the basics. Two late-game buildings exist only to feed this phase: the Crystal Laboratory, which converts daily resources into Fire Crystals, and the War Academy, where the FC-tier technologies are researched.

When buildings unlock

New buildings open as the Furnace climbs, which is why raising it is always the priority that unblocks the most at once. The Arena becomes available at Furnace level 8, giving the first steady source of PvP rewards. The Dawn Academy, which unlocks the Experts system, waits until Furnace level 25. The Fire Crystal Age buildings and their FC levels only appear once the Furnace itself reaches level 30. Planning upgrades around these thresholds — rather than levelling buildings evenly — is what separates steady growth from wasted days.
